TEAM BUILDING EXERCISE - Jumuiya Guest House Limuru 24th - 25th March 2011.

The CTDLT Team Building programme was very successful, with an attendance of 154 members on the opening day and 162 the following day, with the presence of our esteemed Board of Trustees capping the ice on the cake in the final day of the exercise.
The above forum proved its relevance by providing for an avenue for the members of staff not only to relax but also instill in  them cohesion as a team thus improved service delivery to you, our venerated stakeholders. Objectives of the forum included:

  • Review of communication styles and their effects on internal and external customers.
  • Increase in sense of support, trust and cooperation within the management team and other cadres of staff.
  • To enhance employee’s problem solving skills in order to give quality delivery of service.
  • Equipping the delegates with interpersonal skills that would enhance positive employee working relationship in the entire organization.
  • Cultivating of cross functional/collaborative/Interdependent teams within the organization.
  • Create a corporate cultural mindset, behavior and attitude which focus on Excellency in service delivery.

It was interesting and equally amusing to actually realize the outside talent exhibited by members of staff, for instance it was worth noting that our C.E.O  Mr. Chenane was not only endowed in fast and accurate articulation of  organization policies, but was also an ‘Usain Bolt ‘ on the track, our Standards Development Manager was also not left behind as she undisputable gave a wonder show on the football pitch, raising questions as to why the Kenya Football Federation had not called her up for selection to the national team. It was truly an extraordinary sight to see members of staff who in the office environment were thought to be toothless, only for them to glare their snowy white teeth at the conference in excitement, our corporate Affairs Manager will totally second me on this.
The exercise was truly a resonant success and our appreciation goes to the Board of trustees, led by the Chairman Mr.Mwaboza, for supporting the above function and even granting us the honor of their Presence, to the management for tirelessly working to ensure the exercise incurred no hiccups, to the Outward Bound Trust Team, to the members of staff for their attendance and finally to the Almighty God for the mercies and blessings he bestowed upon us throughout the exercise.
We certainly look forward to having this event in consequent years.
